We are pleased to announce that the planning application for food waste treatment at Thames Water’s Banbury sewage treatment works has been approved by Oxfordshire County Council.
EcoGenR8 are working in partnership with Thames Water to develop the food waste anaerobic digestion site and have managed the development of the technical and financial elements of this project including the planning application. EcoGenR8 is continuing to work with Thames Water, who are taking forward the development, to develop the Environmental Permit application. The facility will produce renewable electricity to power up to 3,900 homes in the area.
